The Scouts were victorious in their quest to win the coveted Scout Pennant which is the prize for the many competitions held during this annual camp.
From Friday 23rd through to Monday 26th, the Scouts were tested in many areas. These included Camp Craft, Site Tidiness, Gateway Building, Tug of War, Rafting, Shooting, Bake a Cake, Camp Fire Stunt & Participation and the general attitude of the Scouts during the weekend.
Saturday and Sunday were just perfect for all the activities, and with rafting in the afternoon, this really gave them all an opportunity to cool off in the river whilst having fun at the same time. Even Tony and Richard raced the Network Scouts and won. Sunday finished with a really excellent camp fire with stunts and lots of participation in the singing.
Monday, however, was not so good. The rain persisted all day whilst striking camp, however all the Scouts kept their spririts up until the final closing ceremony and prize giving. Well done to Birdham for winning the Cyclo Cross competition.
